When I discovered my ex-girlfriend Rae was pregnant with my baby when she disappeared ten years ago, I had to try and find her.

But it feels like the more I dig into her past, the less I know. Why has she changed her name, not once, but twice? Why did she lie to me about everything?

When I finally find her, she appears to be happily married with a new baby daughter. But she won't tell me what happened to my own child, and instead tells me that her husband is trying to force her to give up her new baby for adoption, that he’s attempting to undermine the bond she has with her new baby, and deliberately making her doubt her own mind.

There can't be any truth in this, surely?
