If you loved Anything for Him, I’ve got good news for you!

I’m returning to the dark and disturbing for my current work-in-progress, My Daughter’s Boyfriend. While Anything for Him followed the relationships of deeply troubled Jay – one when he was a teenager and one which began in his mid-twenties, My Daughter’s Boyfriend does the same. Only the teenage boy in this story isn’t learning his distrust of women from the views of his dad, as Jay did. He’s learning it online.

With concerns about misogyny being promoted online to boys and young men, I thought it was time to tackle this head on in My Daughter’s Boyfriend. So, I’ve been having an intense and unsettling time of it conducting my research into the manosphere, and writing some challenging scenes, but just as Anything for Him didn’t hold back when it came to Jay’s relationships, neither does My Daughter’s Boyfriend with my new deeply troubled antagonist, Lewis. Just as I felt it was important to capture Jay’s adolescence and his relationship with Sammie, which established a pattern of behaviour he then repeats with devastating consequences, so My Daughter’s Boyfriend throws us headlong into the dark recesses of Lewis’s mind, where ideas he picks up online bleed into his day-to-day life.

I’ve set myself a deadline of Christmas 2025 to have this one completed, so I’m putting in some serious writing hours at the moment!

I also have another psychological thriller, The Fake, that is finished. I’ve been exploring publishing options for this one, and I’m hoping that one way or another it will be released by spring 2026, hopefully a little sooner, so there will be more news to come over the next weeks and months!
